The Legend of King Arthur is more than a story of knights in shining armor. Its a story that goes to the heart of medieval culture. It embodies the medieval ideas of chivalry, courtly love, and is a window into the views and perceptions of the people who created the legend. Even though the legend was totally fiction, there most likely was a real King Arthur and even if his accomplishments in life dont match up to that of his legend, his legend and the fame that it has achieved has earned King Arthur a place in history.
